Harold Jeffery

Harold Douglas Jeffery, age 71, of Lower West Pubnico, died December 12, 2024 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital.  Born in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, he was a son of the late Charles Emery and Pearl Freda (Goreham) Jeffery.  Harold is survived by his wife Valda Margaret (d'Entremont) Jeffery, daughters; Yvonne (Scott) Jeffery, Gilberts Cove, Danya (Jason) Fevens, Lower Argyle, brother; Shawn (Jean), Woods Harbour, sisters; Dawn (Rodney) Banks, Atwoods Brook, Wendy (Jimmy) Nickerson, Shag Harbour and Caroline Jeffery, Barrington, grandchildren; Dianna (Horatio), Keisha, Dyson (Abby) and Marissa, great grandchildren; Dakota, Gynger, Sylus and Jace.  He was predeceased by brother; Charles Jr. ‘Rackie’. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10am in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, 1125 Highway 335, Middle West Pubnico with Pastor Edward Nickerson officiating.  Donations in memory may be made online to Heart and Stroke Foundation.  On line condolences may be forwarded to the family at westpubnicofh.com.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of West Pubnico Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middle West Pubnico.  902 762-3407.

Harold was a fisherman his entire life, starting at a young age in various fisheries-lobstering, dragging and sword fishing.  Some of his hobbies were sport fishing, deer, goose and duck hunting.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles with some of the local groups, where he met many new friends.  In the last few years, he always went for rides on the weekends with his wife Valda, going to many different walking trails.  He always made his daily rounds to all the local wharfs with his dog Neeko.  He was very proud of his kids and grandkids, with whom he loved spending time.
