Beatrice affectionately known as "Beat" dedicated her life to sharing the joy of reading. She began her career as a secretary for BC Packers in East Pubnico. After taking time off to raise her children, she returned to the workforce as a janitor at the library in Pubnico, where her dedication and passion for books saw her rise to the role of librarian. The library was not just a workplace to her—it was a sanctuary of knowledge, community, and connection.
Even after retiring from the library, she continued her love of reading, always having a pile of books on the go. She delighted in passing these books on to her daughters, often leaving her own thoughtful critiques inside the front cover.
Her greatest joy, however, was her family. A proud mom, she loved her children fiercely and was deeply devoted to their happiness and success. Her world revolved around her grandchildren, whom she supported with love, encouragement, and endless affection. She also shared a special bond with her grandfurbabies, Saydee and Finley, whom she loved to visit and always greeted with a treat.
Her legacy lives on in the pages of every story she loved and the lives she enriched, both human and furry.
