Richard d'Entremont

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Roger d’Entremont of Glenwood.  Born in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, he was the son of Anne (d’Entremont) d’Entremont, West Pubnico and the late Roger d’Entremont.  He is survived by his daughter: Maëlle d’Entremont, Yarmouth, sister; Tammy (Mark) Pottier, Belleville, niece; Megan, nephews; Damien, Ryan and Jody.

Richard was a kind and gentle soul who loved to spend time with his daughter Maëlle.  She was the light of his life and his entire world.  Richard was at his happiest when he was with his daughter Maëlle or on the water fishing.  Richard was known for his love of the water.  He spent his entire working life as a fisherman-he began fishing with his father Roger at a very young age.  Richard spent the past 17 years fishing with Dennis aboard the Big D and most recently the Savvie Sailor.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 6:30-8:30pm in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico.  A graveside service will be held in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Middle West Pubnico on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11am with Fr. Albeni d’Entremont officiating.  A gathering for Richard will follow at 11:30am in the New Horizons room located inside the West Pubnico Fire Hall.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made in trust to ‘Tammy Pottier in trust for Maëlle d’Entremont’ for her post secondary education.  This is a fund that has been set up by her aunt Tammy.  On line condolences may be forwarded to the family at westpubnicofh.com
