Theodora Amiro
Theodora Louise Amiro, affectionately known as "Theo" age 78 of Middle East Pubnico, died September 29, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Myrtella (Sears) Brannen. She was a graduate of the Provincial Normal College in Truro and a retired school teacher. She is survived by her husband Joseph Paul Amiro, brothers, Ward, Cedric (Beverly) and a sister Cassie (Herbert) Newell all of Woods Harbour. She was predeceased by a sister Lucille. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6-8pm in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 10am from the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Middle East Pubnico with Fr Cyrille Assihou officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions masks must be worn in the funeral home as well as the church. Social distancing guidelines must also be followed.

Theo was a retired school teacher, having taught first in Woods Harbour and then in Argyle. She taught for over 35 years in a profession she loved. She also co-authored the book A Sea Tragedy. She enjoyed genealogy and researching family roots. Theo enjoyed Christmas and putting up her nativity scene each Christmas with her husband Joe. According to her husband, she had a heart of pure gold. She was loved by all and will be missed. XO
